My favourite red lipstick

Yes, this review is only for one lipstick but I really must say it is the best red lipstick I have ever bought(and I have bought a lot! Haha)

This is 'Kiss of Life' from the 'Kate' range at Rimmel. You can buy it from all the high street stores!

It's a matte red colour but is so moisturising! It also doesn't leave any funny marks when it starts to come off. It can easily last me until lunchtime before I need to touch it up.

I really recommend you add this to your make up collection as you won't regret it!

Any questions, as always, please ask! 💋 x

Summer beach wear!

Just a quick post (I know it's been a while, sorry!) about summer beach wear... I just need to bring to your attention the amazing bikinis (especially for DD+) at the high street store Boux Avenue http://m.bouxavenue.com.

I really recommend you try them out! They can even measure you instore if you're unsure of your size.

I recently purchased this....

.... And fell in love with it! Will certainly be purchasing more. The fit and shape are exactly what I was looking for - sexy, cute and flattering for my size 14 and 36DD shape!

Note- I always buy underwear one size bigger than I am as I hate anything cutting in to me. Do you find this? Comment below! :) x

Winter Tights, the dilemma - Part 1

So, we all know how difficult it is to find the right undergarments when it comes to the clothes we enjoy wearing.

With it being winter, I don't think we necessarily have to hide ourselves in baggy unflattering clothes (unless we're cold and we want to ;) However, I have tried many black tights so far this season from different brands. Primark, Tesco, Accessorize, New Look amongst others that I can't remember.

Then I tried these...

Pretty Polly Bodyshaper tights with a silk finish and I couldn't believe how lovely they are and what a perfect, and reasonably priced, product they are for day to day wear.

They have a very high waist which is perfect for women like me who like to be held in without it being constructive. the material is very soft with an exception denier appearance.

I can wear these with ease with my pencil skirts and tightly fitting dresses. I will arrange some photos should you wish to see them on me!

What tights do you love? Anything you can recommend on a budget?

I bought these in a local department store for £6 for two pairs. Bargain!

How to - Winged Liner in 6 steps!

I have been asked, on a number of occasions, how I do my winged eyeliner. It has taken me many years to perfect and following on from my previous post, I thought it'd be a good idea to note down how I do it ( I will sort out some pictures to go along with this!)

1, Make sure you have your collection 2000 liquid liner ( or whatever liner you are most comfortable with using! )

2, Once you have completed your base make up and pencil liner along the inner lid ( If you wish to do that!) I would advise a dab of Vaseline on a cotton bud into each corner of your eye. This, I have found, stops my liner from running, should the weather be cold or windy. This has been a life saver when it comes to liner for me!

3, I would generally start mid eye about half a cm above the eyelash line and start the wing out to the outer edge of your eye. This can go as far as you'd like to take it, I always use the end of my eyebrow as a guide.

4, I then complete the line towards the nose and follow it down a little and and towards the middle of the lower lid.

5, I then check that each eye matches. Don't panic if one is longer than the other or has a different curve! Just use a cotton bud to wipe off the offending line and redo. Cotton buds allows you to be more specific with rubbing out which is very helpful. Good lighting and natural daylight helps when checking the lines match up.

6, By now you should have completed pin up winged liner ;)

Please comment with any questions you might have and I will do my best to help!  Rachael xx

Eyeliner - Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Liner

It has taken me many years to find a liquid liner that works best for me. I use Collection 2000 Fast Stroke Liquid Liner in black (http://www.superdrug.com/Collection/Collection-Fast-Stroke-Eye-Liner-3-8g-Black-1/p/228796 you can buy it for £2.99 in Superdrug/Boots etc!)

My initial advice to anyone starting out using liquid liner is DONT GIVE UP!! It takes practice to get liner right for your own eyes but you will get there. I still often have to use a cotton bud in order to wipe one side a redo so that it matches the other!

Below is a pic just giving you an idea on my style of liner.

More posts to follow....! X
